First Time Patients
We Are Excited To See You
Here Is What You Should Expect
An adult initial exam takes approximately one and a half hours. During your first visit, one of our staff will review your medical and dental history, and you'll have an opportunity to discuss any dental issues or desires you may have. Your appointment will include a complete oral exam, checking the teeth and gums, screening for oral cancer, and checking the TMJ (temporomandibular or jaw joint).
Unless we've been provided with recent x-rays, we'll likely suggest we take x-rays at your visit so that Dr. Khani can fully examine your jaw structure and the position of your teeth, as well as identify any areas of tooth decay. You can also expect a hygienist to clean your teeth and take intraoral photographs.
If we identify any issues that require treatment, Dr. Khani will discuss options with you and develop a treatment plan. We'll discuss cost estimates and payment options with you, if necessary.
Preparing for your first visit
Before you arrive, please complete our patient registration forms online. You should have received a direct link via email or text when scheduling, however, the forms can also be accessed directly via our website. If you're unable to complete the forms ahead of time, please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete the forms in our office.
